Mr. Corey Banks is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tragedy To Triumph. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, served honorably until 2007.
He attended Fredericksburg Bible Institute now (Cornerstone College Of Virginia) from 2014 to 2021 earning a Master’s of Biblical Theology. He is currently an employee of Cornerstone College of Virginia as an Admissions Counselor and Professor of Systematic Theology and Old Testament Survey.
Corey has served in jail ministry with the Christian Brothers Transition Program(CBTP) since 2017. He began leading monthly church services and weekly Bible studies at Rappahannock Regional Jail in 2018 and continues today. He also serves in leadership providing spiritual guidance for group attendees, board members, and associated ministries.
He holds a monthly bible study for CBTP participants which is dedicated to teaching the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith and Biblically sound methods of defending them. Corey has been a believer for fifteen years and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for six years.
Mr. DePasquale is the Chairman and a founding member of the Tragedy to Triumph. He has a heart for the incarcerated, particularly those intentional about walking with the LORD while incarcerated, upon release, and for the remainder of their lives. He has been walking with and growing in the LORD for over 40 years.
Mr. DePasquale is engaged in several Christian ministries. He is an active member of the Christian Brothers and Sisters Transition Program where he served in various volunteer capacities including Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Watchman. He also serves as a volunteer at the Rappahannock Regional Jail serving as a Bible Study Instructor and Sunday Service Leader. He also serves as a Director of Sporting NextLevel, a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to using e-sports and soccer as levers to introduce at-risk children to the vast opportunities that abound in their communities.
Mr. DePasquale currently owns and operates two Mathnasium franchises in the Rappahannock Region. He formerly served as Department Manager and Engineer with the National Security Division of BAE systems supporting the FBI's Operational Technology Division. He also served as a Chief Architect and Engineer for CACI supporting the Department of Defense. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1995 and holds an MS in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University.
Mr. DePasquale is married and has six+ children and eighteen grandchildren.
Mrs. DePasquale is the Secretary-Treasurer and a founding member of Tragedy to Triumph where she provides Christian financial counsel and management.
Mrs. DePasquale is also a member of Freedom Church where she serves as its Business Director, Hospitality Lead, and small group leader. Mrs. DePasquale's past financial ministry experience includes providing financial advice and conducting annual reviews and reconciliation of the Christian Brothers and Sisters Transition Program financial records.
Mrs. DePasquale currently owns and administers two Mathnasium franchises in the Rappahannock Region. Mrs. DePasquale retired from the Department of Agriculture where she wrote financial regulations, wrote specifications for financial systems, and provided direct financial services to farmers.
Mrs. DePasquale is married and has six+ children and eighteen grandchildren.
Pastor Dennis is a founding Director of Tragedy To Triumph. He was born again by God’s amazing grace in 1978 while stationed in Hawaii. In 1987 he was ordained as a minister of the gospel and served as Associate Pastor at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Dale City, Virginia. In 2007 he became lead Pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church Fredericksburg, Virginia, and continues in that role to the present time.
Pastor Dennis graduated from George Washington University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970 and served as a reservist while teaching public school in Fairfax County. He later received a direct commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and attended the Army-Baylor Program for physical therapy, graduating with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1973. He retired from the United States Army in 1992 as a Lieutenant Colonel and began working as a Physical Therapist in the civilian sector until retiring in 2016
Pastor Dennis is married to a wonderful Christian woman. They have two children and six grandchildren. His goal in this life is, “ To know Christ, be like Christ, and make Christ known.”
